The Mobile Phone Policy provides guidelines for parents and students about the use of mobile phones and other digital devices during school hours. Implementation of this policy is to maximise student learning time without distraction.
The Learning Policy reflects our core values. We are committed to personal excellence and expect individuals to strive for their best.
Putting Things Right showcases our commitment to providing a quality complaints management service.
The Sun Safety Policy guides State High on how to protect our students from the harmful effects of the sun.
The Variation to Six Subjects Policy recognises that there are 2 categories under which students in Years 11 and 12 can seek variation to their usual study requirements (normally 6 subjects over the final 2 years of high school).
The Senior School Studies Policy, Year 11 2024, has been designed so that students and parents/guardians understand the academic requirements and prerequisites that need to be met for progression into Year 11.

Awards Policy

The Awards Policy outlines the principles and processes we use to drive a positive, values driven culture. Our aim is to use rewards as a powerful mechanism for aligning actual behaviours and values with desired behaviours and values. This policy is currently under review.
The Reference Policy provides students with information on how to write reference lists, including examples of the correct referencing format.
The Uniform Policy outlines school dress standards and expectations as determined by the Executive Principal and representatives of the school community.
The Variable Progression Policy – Sport enables senior students in exceptional circumstances related to a high-level sporting commitment to undertake Years 11 and 12 over three years.
Parents and other visitors to our school support safety by ensuring their communications and conduct at the school and school activities is respectful.

The Enrolment Management Plan sets out the conditions under which students may be enrolled into Brisbane State High School. The plan ensures in-catchment students can enrol at their local state school.
The Student Code of Conduct outlines our system for facilitating positive behaviours and responding to inappropriate and unacceptable conduct.
The Uniform Purchasing Policy is for any staff member involved in an activity in which apparel purchase, design or supply might be relevant at State High.
The Variable Progression Policy – Medical enables senior students in exceptional circumstances related to a medical condition to undertake Years 11 and 12 over three years.
The Refund Policy provides information for parents/guardians who are seeking a refund due to their child ceasing participation in an activity.
