  • Our QGSSSA Hockey Open team achieved a joint premiership and our Senior A team finished in third place.

  • Our QGSSSA Volleyball Open team was undefeated this season, emerging as premiers. Our Senior A and 7A teams finished in third place.

Debating

Throughout the term, State High entered the QDU mini Senior A competition. In the Grand Final, our Senior A Team comprising Sophie Hooper, Lara Pruim, Alex Farago and George competed against All Hallows' School. While All Hallow's School won the debate. State High's Lara Pruim was declared 'Best Speaker' – an outstanding achievement.

Football

Premiership wins for the 9B and 3rd XI teams
Second Place: 11B and 8B
Third Place: 7B and 8A

It has been a great season and many thanks must go to the coaches, players and parents who have made this season possible.

Gymnastics

The GPS Gymnastics Championships were held at Brisbane Grammar School. Max Blacker (Year 7) competed well in Division 2 'A'. Vedant Sawant (Year 11) finished third in the All-Round Division 1 'A'. Pommel and floor are his best events. His coaches believe Verdant is a very talented and disciplined gymnast—an Olympian in the making.

Tennis

Best-performed tennis teams were 11A and 8A — both finished third on their division ladders.

Note: this may not include results from all activities, i.e. GPS Rugby, due the season still running at the time of writing.
