Simon Gelber (Year 10) was recently awarded the
status of 'Junior Assistant Instructor' in Jiu Jitsu by his Dojo at the
Brisbane Martial Arts Academy. For this new appointment, Simon received a blue
Gi jacket. Simon has been training in Jiu Jitsu since Prep. He achieved this
status is through a combination of his own training as a junior Brown Belt, regularly
attending classes and helping to train the younger children. Simon has also been
part of the Dojo's 'Joshu' leadership program since 2017.
