Congratulations to our GPS Gymnastics students!
Max Blacker (Year 9), Bronte Hockley (Year 7) and Thomas Smith (Year 11) participated in the GPS Gymnastics Foundation Cup on Saturday 5 June.
Thomas came first in Vault and second in the Rings and finished third in the All-Around competition. Max tied for first in the Pommel Horse competition.
State High students also participated in the National Gymnastics Championships on the Gold Coast, Vedant Sawant (Year 12) and Thomas Smith performed exceptionally well. Thomas was a member of the Level 7 Open Queensland team that won the National Championship.
Thomas placed second in the All-Around competition as an individual. Vedant, who was unable to participate in all Level 8 Open events due to injury, won the Pommel Horse and came third in the Rings.
