Teacher ​​​Aide – Business, Innovation and Design (BID) Department

Are you an Engineering student looking for part-time work in a dynamic learning environment? Brisbane State High School’s Business, Innovation and Design department is seeking a Teacher Aide to work two (2) days a week to support students and teachers with practical projects.​

What You Will Do:

- Assist with preparing class materials — cutting timber, plastic, and metal.

- Maintain workshop machinery and track materials.

- Support students and teachers in practical lessons if required.

- Use 3D printers and laser cutters, including software like Fusion 360 and Inventor.

- Contribute to classroom organisation and safety.

- Provide support to the Head of Department and teachers by undertaking miscellaneous duties, including painting, creating tool boards, and replenishing stock in classrooms.

We are looking for someone who:

- Is familiar with 3D Printing, laser cutters and machinery, or has similar experience.

- Has an interest in supporting student learning and innovation.

- Can dem​onstrate strong organisational skills and ability to work independently.
