Brisbane State High School aims to provide a wide variety of extra-curricular activities in order to engage as many students as possible in learning experiences beyond the classroom. As well as sport and cultural activities, students are encouraged to engage in activities that focus on opportunities in personal development, volunteering, sustainability, digital leadership, empowerment of young people and diversity.

The activities usually take place before or after school and sometimes on weekends. The available activities are explained in more detail on the individual pages.
