Located in the heart of South Brisbane opposite the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre, Brisbane State High School offers a variety of venues to meet your event needs.

Brisbane State High School has a number of well-appointed venues available to the public for functions, conferences, meetings, sporting events, music events and special occasions.

Availability

Facilities are available for hire on weekends, school holidays and weekdays after 5:00pm. Other times may be available upon negotiation.

Catering and event management

Brisbane State High School's P&C can support you for all your catering and event needs. More information can be provided upon request.

Kurilpa Roof Terrace

With views through South Bank to the Brisbane CBD this open air terrace creates a magical venue day and night. This spectacular venue can cater for up to 500 guests cocktail style and up to 250 guests for a banquet style event.

Indoor Sports Complex

Located off Edmondstone Street, South Brisbane, the multicourt sports centre houses 2 full size basketball courts, 2 netball courts, 4 badminton courts, tiered seating for 100 and a covered outdoor break out/lunch area. A separate car park is located on the opposite side of Edmondstone Street and the facility also houses a canteen for refreshments during the event.

Kurilpa Concourse

Located on the ground floor of the Kurilpa Building on the Merivale Street Campus, this open space can cater for up to 1,000 guests for a cocktail style event and up to 500 guests for a banquet style event.

Classroom spaces

Classroom spaces are available on both our Merivale and Vulture Street campuses. Classrooms seat up to 30 students and on the Merivale Campus we have the opportunity to open up 3 classrooms to make one large space to cater for up to 90 people.

Performing Arts Centre

Located on Merivale Street with its own adjacent car park, the Performing Arts Centre (PAC) offers a range of venues including auditorium spaces, orchestral rehearsal spaces, dance studios as well as housing a canteen.

Parking

Paid on-site parking is available for guests attending events and can be arranged when booking your event.
