Located in the heart of South Brisbane opposite the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre, Brisbane State High School offers a variety of venues to meet your event needs.

Brisbane State High School has a number of well-appointed venues available to the public for functions, conferences, meetings, sporting events, music events and special occasions.

Availability

Facilities are available for hire on weekends, school holidays and weekdays after 5:00pm. Other times may be available upon negotiation.

Catering and event management

Brisbane State High School's P&C can support you for all your catering and event needs. More information can be provided upon request.

Kurilpa Roof Terrace

Offering sweeping views across South Bank to the Brisbane CBD, this open-air terrace provides a stunning setting for events both day and night. The venue accommodates up to 500 guests for cocktail-style functions or 250 guests for banquet-style events.

Indoor Sports Complex

Our multi-court indoor sports complex on Edmondstone Street, South Brisbane offers the ideal setting for your next event. With 2 full-size basketball courts, 2 netball courts, and 4 badminton courts, the venue is designed to host events of all sizes. The facility also includes tiered seating for 100 spectators, a covered outdoor break/lunch area, a refreshments canteen, and dedicated parking directly across Edmondstone Street - ensuring a seamless experience for players, officials, and guests alike.

Kurilpa Concourse

Located on the ground floor of the Kurilpa Building at our Merivale Street Campus, this versatile open space accommodates up to 1,000 guests for cocktail-style events or up to 500 guests for banquet-style functions.

Classroom spaces

Classroom spaces are available at both our Merivale Street and Vulture Street campuses. Each classrooms accommodates up to 30 people. On the Merivale Street Campus, three adjoining classrooms can be opened up to create on large space suitable for groups of up to 90 people.

Performing Arts Centre

Conveniently situated on our Merivale Street Campus with its own adjacent car park, the Performing Arts Centre (PAC) offers a range of spaces, including auditorium, orchestral rehearsal spaces, dance studios, and an on-site canteen.

Parking

We offer paid on-site parking for external hirers and guests, including a combination of undercover and outdoor spaces. Parking can be arranged at the time of your event booking, making it easy for your attendees to arrive comfortably and hassle-free.
