Congratulations
to Caitlyn Hermann (Year 12) on her outstanding achievements in the ASME
Queensland Young Composers’ competition. In the Instrumental/Vocal section,
Senior Division, Caitlyn was awarded second prize for ‘Shades of Sound’ and
Highly Commended for ‘Texture of Rhythm’.
For ‘Shades of Sound’, Caitlyn also received the award for
Most Promising Composer, a new award that recognises composers with intuitive
creative ideas.
