From Monday 7 to Friday 11 December 2020, Alexavier Ly-Liu (Year 10) and Filip Simic (Year 8) competed in the Queensland Junior Chess Championships at Anglican Church Grammar School.
Filip achieved second place in the Queensland Under 14 – U18 Blitz Championships in the Under 14 division and third place in the Queensland Under 14 – Under 18 Championships in Under 16/Under 14 division.
Alexavier also achieved highly and won the Under 18 division as co-champion! Last year, Alexavier also achieved the 2020 Australian Under 14 National Title and 2020 Queensland Under 18 State Title.
