| The George Lockie Cup (Dux of the School)
Mr George W. Lockie was Principal of Brisbane State High School from 1961 to 1971. This trophy is in recognition of his contribution to the school prior to his passing in 1971 and is presented to the 'Dux of the School'. |
Johnny Nguyen | Year 11 Dux The Dux of Year 11 is awarded to the highest academic achiever in Year 11. |
Charli Knott | The Sir Herbert Watkin Award for Scholastic and Sporting Ability Awarded to a student who has worked hard to achieve extremely high results across all subjects. |
Anoushka Das | The Ausenco Brisbane State High School Engineering Scholarship This scholarship provides a Year 12 State High student financial assistance and hands-on experience for the duration of their engineering course at a Brisbane-based tertiary institution. Benefits include a $4,000 per annum scholarship, paid vacation work experience, and invitations to Ausenco events. It is awarded to a student with outstanding results and a planned career path in Engineering. |
Kosei Stephenson | The 'Junior Dickson' Sportsmanship Award Awarded to a student in any year level who has demonstrated exemplary character and attitude in sport at State High. This award goes to someone who is humble and talented. |
Samuel Meredith Boram Sim Helena Turner | The Cassandra June Carter Bursary This bursary is designed to assist students financially with their studies and is awarded to students with academic potential. The funding comes from a generous bequest made to the State High Foundation by Cassandra June Carter's father. Cassandra was a 1962 graduate who became a recognised expert in Middle English. Each winner receives $1,000 towards their tuition fees. |
Zoe Cartwright | Junior Caltex Best All-Rounder Award Awarded to a student who is an inspirational leader, a role model, an excellent student, and an exceptional athlete in a number of sports at a representative level. |
Elouise Gaffney | The University of Queensland Achievement Award Awarded to a student who has achieved in many academic areas. |
Issei Stephenson | Sir Samuel Griffith Scholarship Awarded to a student who shows significant leadership and community service. |
