Dance Troupes is an extra-curricular program for students who are passionate about dance and performance.
With opportunities to perform and compete in eisteddfods throughout the year, the program caters for students of varied ages and dance experience.

Rehearsals
Rehearsals for all troupes run throughout Term 1 to Term 3, exclusive of school and public holidays. The 2026 rehearsal schedule is below and weekly rehearsals being in Week 3 Term 1:

Any changes or additions to this rehearsal schedule will be communicated via Team App with at least one week's notice.
Team App
State High's Dance Troupes program uses a smartphone app to facilitate easier communication between staff, students and parents/guardians. Team App is designed for use on smartphones (android and iPhone), iPads and can also be viewed online. It is free to download and does not incur a membership fee.
Team App keeps member contact details private and no members can communicate with each other through the app.
To download, go to Team App:
- Sign up using your name, date of birth and email address. You'll be sent an email to confirm your registration.
- Search for BSHS Dance and request access to the group students, teachers, or parents (whichever applies to you).
- Once your request is approved you will be able to see news and upcoming Dance Troupes events.
Workshops and competitions
Dance Troupe members can engage in industry professional workshops, showcases, performance at assemblies and school events and eisteddfods.
