Compulsory Registration and Consent

Parents/guardians are required to complete the online registration and consent for their child via the school website.

Please complete the online web form including each sport that your child may undertake for the year. The web form generates a school consent form which is to be completed, signed and placed in the tray on the counter in the Extra-Curricular Office in room D101.

Team App for Coaches, Rowers and Parents

Both Boys and Girls Rowing are using a smartphone app as the main means of communication between coaching staff, rowers and parents/guardians.

Team App keeps member contact details private and no members can communicate with each other through the app.

To download, go to https://teamapp.com/app

  1. Sign-up using your name, date of birth and email address. You'll be sent an email to confirm your registration.
  2. Search for 'BSHS Boys Rowing' or 'BSHS Girls Rowing' and request access to the group which applies to you.
  3. Once your request is approved, you will be able to see news and upcoming events on your device or by checking your emails.
  4. Please note that turning on push notifications on the app allows you not to miss important posts as they are made, however, this can be switched off at any time.

Water Safety

All rowers will be required to participate in a capsize drill at the beginning of each season, and must also complete Safety Course 1—Brisbane River (online) to uphold the safety standards of our program.

To enrol and complete the course, go to the Rowing Queensland website:

  1. Select Rowing Queensland: Safety Course 1—Brisbane River.
  2. Select Enrol in this course, Personal checkout and select BSHS from the school drop down menu.
  3. Create new account and enter your name into the checkout field.

Select Go to the course and Get started.

There are three modules to complete under Assessments. On completion, a Water Safety Card will be issued. Please note you do not need to complete the course in one sitting. You can save and return to the course later.
