The Opti-MINDS Creative Sustainability Challenge is an inclusive team challenge which empowers participants to think, create and communicate. Opti-MINDS is a creative, problem solving event for teams of participants. It is run by Opti-MINDS Incorporated on a non-profit basis. Teams are required to solve demanding, open-ended challenges from one of the following categories: Language Literature; Science Engineering or Social Sciences. The Opti-MINDS Challenge provides the opportunity for all students with a passion for learning and problem-solving to showcase their skills and talents in an exciting, vibrant and public way.
In Term 2, those who have registered are organised into teams and each team decides on their own practice schedule. Fortnightly meetings are held either before school or during lunchtime to touch base and assess the progress of the challenge. These are also based on the availability of the group.
It is quite unacceptable for a student to nominate, but then miss the team’s practice session/s. This is a group effort and students are expected to understand their responsibility to their team/group if they wish to participate.
Contact the Master in Charge if you would like to participate in Opti-MINDS.
