In the first instance, we encourage students to see their English teacher if they need extra help. Some teachers make themselves available for student consultations at specific times each week, while others respond to student requests – ‘by appointment’.

All students are welcome to experience the productive learning environment of the school library on Monday to Thursday afternoons for Homework Club. Competitions

The English faculty encourages all students to participate in the International Competitions and Assessments for Schools (ICAS).

ICAS provides an opportunity for students to gain a measure of their own achievement in an external assessment situation. It provides schools and teachers with comprehensive reporting of results and provides parents with information regarding their child's performance. All students receive a certificate and an individual student record indicating which questions they answered correctly, and an average mark for the state.
