Brisbane State High School has a strong commitment to students from the local area.

To be eligible for in catchment enrolment, parents or legal guardians who seek to enrol their child at the school will need to fully demonstrate that the student's principal place of residence is genuinely within the defined catchment area. Current proof of residency at the address indicated must be provided upon enrolment, as outlined in the Enrolment Management Plan.

Information Presentation - Local Catchment Area

Our Enrolment Information Presentation is for parents and guardians of current Year 6 students entering Year 7 in 2021 under Local Catchment Area enrolment.

 

​Proof of Local Residence

For all Local Catchment Area enrolment applications, the school requires the provision of sufficient documentary evidence to demonstrate that students seeking to enrol genuinely reside within the defined catchment. The required documentation (PDF, 377KB) will differ depending on whether you are a property owner or a lease holder.

Submitting an Application for Enrolment

1. Before you apply

Please review these documents carefully to ensure you have the required documentation available to support the in catchment enrolment application:

2. Completing an application

Please ensure you follow the Application Checklist (PDF, 377KB) and provide all of the supporting documents required along with the enrolment paperwork.

Incomplete applications cannot be accepted.

A separate application form is required if appling for Selective Entry enrolment.

3. Submitting your application

Due to the current COVID-19 situation our school is temporarily closed to visitors therefore we request that all enrolment applications be submitted via email or post.

Enrolment application packages must include copies of the relevant supporting documentation along with a completed Prospective Student Enrolment Application Form. 

Original documents to be sighted by our Enrolment Office at a later date (to be advised).

Email | Scan and save all enrolment application paperwork in original format together with the required supporting documentation (PDF, 377KB) as a PDF file. Reduce the size of the application package to a .zip file format before emailing, if necessary.

Brisbane State High School cannot accept any responsibility for documents sent by mail.

Original documents included in the application can be returned by post if the application includes a self-addressed, stamped envelope.​ (recommended)

4. Pre-enrolment interview

Pre-enrolment interviews are required for all Local Catchment Area enrolments.

Interviews will be available 9:00am and 1:00pm on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays (excluding school holidays and public holidays) and will be conducted via telephone, during the current COVID-19 situation.

Our Enrolment Office will be in touch to arrange a pre-enrolment interview once a completed application package has been received.
