Local Catchment Area

To be eligible for in-catchment enrolment, parents or legal guardians who seek to enrol their child at the school will need to fully demonstrate that the student's principal place of residence is genuinely within the defined catchment area.

Current proof of residency at the address indicated must be provided upon enrolment, as outlined in the Enrolment Management Plan.

Information Session - Local Catchment Area​

The Information Session for Parents/Guardians of students enrolling for Year 7, 2025 under Local Catchment Area Entry will be held on Tuesday 7 May 2024 from 5:00pm to 6:30pm at the Performing Arts Centre.​

Proof of local residence

For all Local Catchment Area enrolment applications, the school requires the provision of sufficient documentary evidence to demonstrate that students seeking to enrol genuinely reside within the defined catchment. The required documentation (PDF, 220KB) will differ depending on whether you are a property owner or a lease holder.

​We honour the “grandfather” arrangement announced in the lead up to the establishment of Brisbane South State Secondary College (BSSSC). 

This means that students:

are eligible for local entry to BSHS.

3. Submitting your application

Local Catchment Area enrolment applications must include evidence of the relevant supporting documentation for local catchment area. 

If applicable, original documents will be sighted by our Enrolment Office at a later date (to be advised).

Online submission: Applications are required to be submitted online via the Local Catchment Area Online Application Form.​​


4. Pre-enrolment interview

Pre-enrolment interviews are required for all Local Catchment Area enrolments.

Interviews will be available 9:00am and 1:00pm on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays (excluding school holidays and public holidays) will be conducted face-to-face.

Our Enrolment Office will be in touch to arrange a pre-enrolment interview once a completed online application package has been received.​
