As outlined in the policy, students who miss an exam must complete and submit the online Missed Exam form along with appropriate documentation. Please note that documentary evidence will need to be submitted to support an absence, for example, a medical certificate or notice of selection into a national sporting team.
Students in Year 7 – 10 who miss an exam must complete the online Missed Exam. The form is to be submitted along with appropriate evidence (e.g. medical certificate). Please follow the instructions on the form regarding documentation and submission procedures.
Students can access their assessment schedule via the Assessment and Learning Calendar via logging on to StudentNet and scrolling down the page.
Year 11 and 12 students who miss internal examinations (including mock examinations) held in the are required to inform the school of the absence prior to the scheduled examination start time. Parents/guardians should inform the school of their child's absence via the absence line and then complete the online Missed Exam form.
Students will be contacted regarding the absence and the examination will be rescheduled for the next available opportunity.
For students in Year 11 and 12, the QCAA stipulates that the illness or event must be unforeseen and beyond the student's control. The absence cannot be of the student's own choosing or that of their parents/guardians, such as a family holiday or appointment. Refer to section 6.5 of the QCE and QCIA Handbook for further information.
If you require an extension for an assessment piece other than an exam, please complete the Application for Extension form (PDF, 34 KB) and submit it to the relevant Head of Department.
