EOI - AO2 Administration Officer
Brisbane State High School is seeking a temporary AO2 Administration Officer to provide administrative and operational support across a range of routine school functions. The position is for a period of 6 months (with the possibility of extension), and to commence as soon as possible.
As the AO2 Administration Officer you will carry out a range of duties as directed, including but not limited to the following:
- Perform a variety of day to day administrative and support services that are routine in nature and directed by the Business Manager.
- Undertake routine activities including reception (telephone and counter enquiries), arranging appointments, correspondence and general administration, maintaining school records.
- Provide a range of financial administrative activities and operations including data entry, maintenance of financial registers, processing payments and receipting using MYOB, banking, reconciliation, reporting.
- Prepare minutes of meetings, policy documents, reports as required.
- Monitoring student attendance in Compass, producing absence reports for leaders, and liaising with parents/carers to verify student absences.
- Provide administrative support as required, including assistance at the student counter.
- Administer first aid (first responder) as required.
- Relief person for support staff during absences when required.
Suitability Assessment Criteria
- The required skillset of the successful applicant is as follows:
- Ability to work independently, be self-motivated and proactive.
- Has strong organisational and time management skills.
- High level written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to think logically and solve problems.
- Proven ability to multitask and work well under pressure and to manage shifting priorities and interruptions in an office environment.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and can build strong working relationships and rapport with a diverse range of people
- Knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suites; Office 365, Word, and Excel.
- Experience using MYOB.
- Previous experience in a school and experience using OneSchool and Compass, would be highly regarded.
- Hold a current Working with Children Blue Card.
