'A Parent's Guide to Learning at Home' handbook

This handbook (PDF, 1908 KB) contains information to assist State High parents and guardians and their families while we are in an online learning mode. A student version of this information is available on StudentNet.

Attendance / participation

Each morning, students are required to complete the 'Learning @ Home Daily Check In' survey which is available on StudentNet. This is their roll mark for the day. (Refer to the email sent to students on Friday 17 April 2020.)

If your child is unable to attend school or participate in online learning, our usual attendance procedures apply. Parents/guardians will need to inform the school to notify us of the reasons why their child cannot attend school / participate in online learning for that day.

This can be advised in one of the following ways:

When reporting absences, parents/guardians should state the student's:

  • Name and ID number (as it appears on their Student ID Card)
  • Date of absence
  • Reason for absence
  • Expected duration

Return to School for Year 7 – 10 Students

Students in Year 7 – 10 will return to school on Monday 25 May, 2020. This decision is in line with the progressive easing of restrictions as part of the Government’s response to COVID-19.
