Moss Murphy (Year 12) has been selected to the Queensland Rowing Pathway Squad. Moss will compete at the National Junior Selection Regatta. State High Rowing MIC Mr Cameron Stephenson was also selected as coach.
Moss, among his peers, has set high standards with regard to being an exemplary role model in terms of behaviour and performance. The selection regatta is ito be held n Sydney, competing against other crews for Australian selection. Originally set for Saturday 10 to Monday 12 April the regatta was postponed due to floods.
Moss has been part of the State High Rowing program since his teacher encouraged him to take up Rowing to support Rugby fitness in Year 8. Moss has been part of a number of crews within the school program including those competing and achieving at Queensland State School Championships in Rockhampton (2018) and Lake Wyaralong (2019 and 2020).
