The GPS Swimming season runs from Thursday 25 January until Friday 1 March 2024.
The QGSSSA Swimming season runs from Friday 2 February until Wednesday 28 February 2024.
Compulsory Registration and Consent
Parents and guardians are required to complete the online registration and consent for their child via the school website.
Please complete the online web form including each sport that your child may undertake for the year. The web form generates a school consent form which is to be completed, signed and placed in the tray on the counter in the Extra-Curricular Office in D101.
Team App for Coaches, Swimmers and Parents
State High Swimming is using a smartphone app as the main means of communication between coaching staff, swimmers and parents.
Team App keeps member contact details private and no members can communicate with each other through the app.

Sign-up using your name, date of birth and email address. You'll be sent an email to confirm your registration.
Search for 'BSHS Boys Swimming' or 'BSHS Girls Swimming' or request access to the group which applies to you.
Once your request is approved, you will be able to see news and upcoming BSHS Girls or Boys Swimming events on your device or by checking your emails.
Please note that turning on push notifications on the app allows you not to miss important posts as they are made, however, this can be switched off at any time.
Levy
Swimmers must pay an annual levy for buses to some meets, training equipment, administration costs, coach recognition, QGSSSA/GPS catering, awards dinner trophies and prizes.

The Brisbane State High School Interhouse Carnival and spectating at GPS and QGSSSA Championships are official events counted towards minimum pocket requirements.

Season Transport
QGSSSA Swimming
Non-return charter buses will be provided to St Peter's Lutheran College. A return charter bus will take swimmers to and from the Moreton Bay College meet, GPS Championships and the QGSSSA Championships. Transport to and from all other meets within Brisbane is the responsibility of parents and guardians.
GPS Swimming
A charter bus will be provided for the Anglican Church Grammar School and Ipswich Grammar School meets, GPS Championships and QGSSSA Championships. Transport to and from all other invitational meets within Brisbane is the responsibility of parents and guardians.
Uniform
Swimmers must wear the school swimwear and cap, available from the Uniform Shop.
All swimmers should wear their swimming polo shirt to and from each meet.
Volunteers
Swimming is run by volunteers. To help with set up, training, BBQs or coaching, please contact the Master in Charge.
End of Season Presentation
A combined end of season presentation dinner is held for QGSSSA and GPS Swimming. Details regarding confirmed venue and ticket availability will be advised once the season begins. Tickets are sold at the B Block Finance Counter and must be purchased by the closing date to enable catering numbers to be finalised. Once ticket sales are closed no further tickets will be available for purchase.
