​Congratulations to Rani Carmichael (Year 12) who has achieved some impressive accolades. This afternoon, Rani was announced as a winner of the Outstanding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Senior STEM Student Award at the 2020 Peter Doherty Awards for Excellence in STEM Education. Rani intends to use the prize to help fund her tertiary education in the pursuit of becoming a veterinarian. At the end of the ceremony, State High also presented Rani with the Queensland Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Foundation's 2020 QATSIF Young Indigenous Leader Award.
