CREATE, Brisbane State High School's Festival of Learning in The Arts, took place in the evening of Tuesday 25 June. Over three hours, more than 1,500 people participated in workshops, spoke with students about their artistic process and learning journey and glimpsed the student experience through Dance, Drama, Music, Visual Art, Film, Television and New Media and Media Arts.

It was our great pleasure to have the Minister for Education, the Hon Grace Grace MP officially open CREATE and present the awards to the Peter and Julie Bellas Visual Art Bursary winners.

This year, the Bellas Bursary winners are Caitlin Bradfield, Mali Glasson Green and Milo Fensham. Highly Commended awards were given to Rohana Salita and Sharlene Tran-Le. Congratulations to these students and to all those exceptional Visual Art students who applied for the Bursary.

Awardees of the Peter and Julie Bellas Visual Art Bursary with our Executive Principal, Mr Wade Haynes, and the Minister for Education, the Honourable Grace Grace MP
