The Past Students' Association (PSA) was created with the aim of keeping all past students in contact with one another and with current activities of the school. The PSA was originally formed as separate Old Girls' and Old Boys' Associations in 1921. There are presently more than 30,000 past students.
The PSA also provides financial assistance to the school for projects aimed at promoting the tradition and spirit of Brisbane State High School.
