Softball

Junior Softball Season - Tuesday 25 October to Friday 4 November.

Registration and Parent Consent

Students are required to complete the school online registration/consent –

After completing the online web form, please print the school consent form for parents to complete and sign, and place this in the tray on the counter at Room D101 in the Extra-Curricular Office.

Uniform

Players must wear BSHS:

  • navy softball shorts or physical education (PE) shorts
  • PE polo shirt
  • rugby socks
  • sports cap or PE hat.

Levy

The levy which is due by the third week of fixtures, covers bus transport, sunscreen, equipment, administration costs, coach shirts, umpires, end of season dinner and trophies.

  • Juniors: $85 (2016)
  • Seniors: $50 (2017)

Games and venues

Junior games are scheduled to be played on:

  • Tuesday 24 October - postponed to wet weather day on Tuesday 7 November
  • Thursday 26 October - Cancelled due to wet weather
  • Wednesday 1 November
  • Friday 3 November
  • Tuesday 7 November

Senior games are scheduled to be played on Saturdays in Term 1:

  • Saturday 4 February
  • Saturday ​11 February
  • Saturday 18 February
  • Saturday 25 February
  • Saturday 4 March
  • Saturday 11 March - wet weather day

All games are played at Downey Park, in Noble Street, Windsor.  Open and Senior players will play two games on Saturday mornings with the first game commencing at 8.15am.  Junior players participate in a four day carnival.  The bus departs school at 1.30pm to enable junior players to be organised for their first game.

Transport

Seniors - Students are to arrange their own transport to and from the venue.

Juniors - A bus will be provided each day of competition to transport students to the venue, but students must make their own arrangements to get home safely.

Training

Students must attend 75% of training sessions to be eligible for a pocket. Coaches must be informed of missed sessions.

One or two compulsory sessions per week will be arranged at the discretion of the coach. ​
