Parents/guardians are required to complete the online registration and consent for their child via the school website.
Please complete the online web form including each sport that your child may undertake for the year. The web form generates a school consent form which is to be completed, signed and placed in the tray on the counter in the Extra-Curricular Office in room D101.
Both Boys and Girls Rowing are using a smartphone app as the main means of communication between coaching staff, rowers and parents/guardians.
Team App keeps member contact details private and no members can communicate with each other through the app.

All rowers will be required to participate in a capsize drill at the beginning of each season, and must also complete Safety Course 1—Brisbane River (online) to uphold the safety standards of our program.
To enrol and complete the course, go to the Rowing Queensland website:
Select Go to the course and Get started. There are three modules to complete under Assessments. On completion, a Water Safety Card will be issued. Please note you do not need to complete the course in one sitting. You can save and return to the course later.
Rowers must pay an annual levy. All prior levies are required to be finalised before commencing the 2020 season.
Please refer to Sport this Week for up-to-date information on times and venues.
Rowing is entirely a volunteer activity and any interested parent can contact the rowing Master in Charge. Please feel free to help with any of the tasks including loading/unloading boats:
The Rowing Sub-Committee meets at the State High Rowing Shed, Jane Street, West End each month. Parents are actively encouraged to get involved and are welcomed as an essential part of State High Rowing. Email firstname.lastname@example.org for more details.
Separate end of season presentation dinners are held for both QGSSSA and GPS Rowing. Details regarding confirmed venue and ticket availability will be advised once the season begins. Tickets are sold at the B Block Finance Counter and must be purchased by the closing date to enable catering numbers to be finalised. Once ticket sales are closed, no further tickets will be available for purchase.
