The State Final took place on Friday 18 and Saturday 19 October 2019 at The Judith Wright Centre of Contemporary Arts, Fortitude Valley. State High's selection across all entered categories for the State Final was a phenomenal result for the Blue-Red-Blue.

Congratulations to Luka Lynch (Year 8) for placing second and Scarlett Knight (Year 9) for placing third, respectively, in the Photography category and Vince Lapore (Year 10) for receiving the Adjudicators' Choice Award for his outstanding comedic performance. An honourable mention to Fiona Chu, Caitlyn Hermann, Jessica Kininmonth, Elizabeth Sangster, Malithi Weragama, Nic Davidson, Cooper Randall and Hoyeon Shim for also producing spectacular performances on the State Final stage.

Following the State Final, Jessica Kininmonth (Class of 2019), Luka Lynch and Vince Lapore were selected to perform in Shake & Stir Theatre co's production, 'As You Like It'. Our students were selected in a cast of 30 young Queensland actors who performed at the Judith Wright Centre of Contemporary Arts on Friday 17 – Saturday 18 January.

The Courier-Mail recently published an article about Jessica, Luka and Vince regarding their involvement in this production: click here to read the article.
