Joshua to Perform in National Youth Concerto Competition

Recently, cellist Joshua Jones (Year 10) was announced as a recitalist in the National Youth Concerto Competition for school-aged students. Six students Australia-wide were selected by a panel of Australian professional musicians in this National Competition organised by the Queensland Youth Orchestra for young string players dating back to 1976. Later this year, Joshua will perform several concerts in various public venues as part of this competition in the Brisbane region.

Joshua also won the AUSTA Concerto Competition recently for the third time and was selected to take part in the Australia Chamber Orchestra Academy (ACO) in Sydney – the ACO's flagship education program for school students – also for the third time.
