GPS Cross Country Championships


On Wednesday 29 May, State High's GPS Cross Country Team competed in the 49th GPS Cross Country Championships at Limestone Park, Ipswich. On a testing tough race day over the hot and hilly course at Ipswich, the team placed second overall, scoring 36 points. This was the 7th successive year that the team has recorded a top four placing. Congratulations to all team members.

Highlights from the Championships included the Under 13 and Under 14 teams placing first in their respective age groups.

Individual highlights included Isaac Bennett placing first in the 13 years event and Joseph Saunders placing first in the 14 years event. It was also the 25th and 26th time a State High student has recorded an individual age group win.
