Brisbane Eisteddfod

State High's Senior Troupe, Bollywood Troupe, Boys Crew and Girls Crew had a fantastic day at the Brisbane Eisteddfod on Friday 18 May. All of our routines were extremely impressive, entertaining and very well-performed. They were all choreographed by either current or alumni students which is evidence of the depth of talent that is fostered in State High's Dance Program.

State High's reputation as a formidable force in dance was upheld on Friday with some incredible results:

5th (out of almost 40 schools) - Senior Troupe Contemporary (choreographed by Kurtis Holstein Year 12)

3rd - Senior Troupe Musical Theatre (choreographed by alumni Anika-Jovi McCarthy and assisted by Ella Macrokanis Year 12)

3rd - Boys Crew (choreographed by Year 12 Boys Crew Captains Navid Ahmed and Andre Wang)

8th - Girls Crew (choreographed by Kurtis Holstein, Year 12)

7th - Bollywood Troupe (choreographed by alumni Aman Goraya and current Captains Mihika Samaratunga and Sabella Segal).

The performances are the result of hours and hours of hard, focused work in the dance studio. Congratulations to all dancers on a successful first eisteddfod and thank you to Mrs Hayley Stephens, Miss Karen Hadfield and parents Ms Natalie Parish and Ms Corinna Tautali for their assistance on the day.
